For the fourth year running Management
Team has published de ‘Maakindustry100’,
a list of to be proud of, full of ‘Dutch Glory’.
The manufacturing industry is important
for the Dutch economy. With the platform
‘Made in NL’ Management Team wants to
promote knowledge-sharing within and
about the sector.
Marinka Nooteboom: “With 400 employees
Nooteboom is not the largest organisation
in the ‘Maakindustry100’. Hence our modest
95th place. However, we are extremely
proud of this position. We develop and
manufacture all our products ourselves
and we invest in the development of new
technology. This shows in the new, clever
solutions we devise for our customers.
But we also invest in new methods in the
production. In the Maakindustrie100
there are many more family businesses.
We started out 135 years ago and I believe
in the strength of the family business. In
difficult times we can react promptly and
in better times – such as now – we tirelessly
invest in new products. So we are proud of
our 95th place and I congratulate the other
99 companies on the list.”

DVD Wind turbine

The film “Exceptional Wind Turbine
Transport” has recently become available in
the Nooteboom Shop. The film shows the
latest developments in the transport and
installation of windmills. The ever-increasing capacity of windmills has had a huge
influence on their transport. Wind turbines
with a height of more than 100 metres
and 70m-long rotor blades are no longer
the exception. The film shows footage of
various Nooteboom customers. It gives you
the opportunity to take a look behind the
scenes, from a technical viewpoint as well
as how a transport is put together. The film
is approx. 1 hour long and has a voice-over
commentary in both Dutch and English.
The DVD is sold in the Nooteboom Shop.
The beautiful, spectacular images speak for
themselves.
Nooteboom have been a major player in the
Irish heavy haulage market for over twenty
years and feel the time is right to establish a
dedicated Irish distributor.
Previously the market was supported
via Nooteboom UK, the new company,
Nooteboom Ireland Ltd, is born from a partnership between the long established Palfinger
crane supplier, Palfinger Ireland Ltd, and
the former owner of Nooteboom UK, Nigel
Houghton.
Based in the central region of the country at
Tullamore, Nooteboom Ireland is ideally positioned to bring not only sales expertise but also
an unrivalled service back up to the market.
The company will offer new Nooteboom trailers from stock along with a selection of used
equipment, the complete range of spare parts
and repairs.
