modular transports
J.B. Rawcliff e & Sons Ltd from Skemersdale
(UK) is a leading transport company
with a solid reputation. Th e fl eet consists
of various types of tractors with a GVW
ranging from 38 to 250 tonnes and all kinds
of diff erent trailers, modules and SPMT’s
for abnormal transport. Rawcliff e not only
carries out transports, they also have the
equipment to install heavy components such
as gantries, jack-up and skidding systems.
Th eir personnel is extremely experienced
and receive regular training to keep their
knowledge for working with this specialist
equipment up to date. J.B. Rawcliff e & Sons
has been one of the Nooteboom authorized
service centres in the UK for many years.
Th e new Nooteboom Manoovr MPL-
126V(V) is the perfect solution for most
of the transport activities of Rawcliff e.
Th e Manoovr can carry the heavy loads
that used to be transported with modular
axle lines.
John Rawcliff e: ‘Having to adjust the
modular trailers for every transport is
extremely time-consuming. And we need
experienced personnel to do it, because not
all drivers are able to convert a modular
trailer. With the Manoovr we couple it and
leave straightaway to collect the load. Th e
Manoovr gives us fl exibility. Removing the
Multidolly takes less than 15 minutes and
this makes the 8-axle trailer into a 6-axle
trailer. Fully extended the load fl oor behind
the neck is an impressive 34 metres long.
Th e Nooteboom Manoovr is fl exible and
effi cient to use and that’s exactly what we
need because we always have to work under
time pressure. Every minute counts.’
