At Nooteboom it is a key objective to ensure that
vehicles have low running costs and maximum
uptime. A fine-meshed European network is
responsible for providing service and parts.
Recently Nooteboom came to an agreement
with Christian Winkler GmbH about a speedy
and efficient delivery of Nooteboom parts to
German transport and repair companies. Renee
van Gennip, parts manager at Nooteboom:
“For many years Winkler Fahrzeugtechnik in
Ludwigsburg has already been a valued service
partner of Nooteboom for southern Germany.
Winkler is one of the largest distributors of parts
for commercial vehicles in Europe. Thanks to
this collaboration specific Nooteboom parts
can now be delivered quicker to trailer repair
and transport companies throughout Germany.
For the supply of parts Winkler implements an
efficient logistics concept. In many cases we can
also reduce the transport costs and lead times.
In France we have been working with a central
distribution point for a few years now. The
customers are so satisfied with this service that
we now apply the same concept in Germany.
The employees of Winkler are familiar with the
Nooteboom vehicle technology and have expert
knowledge of commercial vehicles. They are able
to give customers specific advice too. Winkler
Fahrzeugtechnik GmbH in Ludwigsburg also
offers service, repairs and warranty work. From
repairing the hydraulic steering system to the
complete refurbishment of the entire trailer:
it’s all done at the facility in Ludwigsburg. The
Winkler organisation currently has 41 facilities
with more than 1,500 employees. The full

Germany.” ■ Since the introduction of the 6-axle Manoovr
Ballasttrailer in the middle of last year an
increasing number of crane hire companies
are opting for the Manoovr instead of the
traditional flatbed Ballasttrailer. One of the
main considerations for choosing the MPL-
97-06 Ballasttrailer is the low load floor of
780mm, which makes it safer when working
at height. Other important reasons are the
higher axle load of 12 t/axle, the suspension
stroke of 500mm and the large steering angle
of 60 degrees, all owing to the fact that the
trailer is equipped with pendle axles. ■ Plant Speed (UK) recently took three new
Nooteboom OVB-67-03(QP) into service.
These 3-axle Super Wing Carriers were espe-
cially developed for the transport of ultra-long
rotor blades. Paul Lomas, owner Plant Speed
Ltd: “The current generation of windmills have
a blade tip height of up to 200 metres and rotor
blades that are 70 metres long. It is no longer
possible to transport these rotor blades with
conventional extendible trailers. The Super
Wing Carrier of Nooteboom has established an
excellent reputation internationally. This type
of trailer is throughout Europe used as stand-
ard for the transport of ultra-long rotor blades.
This makes our decision of opting for the
Nooteboom SWC a completely logical one.” ■

Nooteboom 3-axle semi low-loader
in scale 1:32
MarGe Models introduce the very first Nooteboom scale model in scale 1:32. It concerns a
3-axle semi low-loader, type MCOS-48-03EB, especially suitable for the transport of access
platforms and construction machinery. The model is extremely detailed and equipped with
steered axles, height-adjustable load floor and double folding ramps that can also be adjusted
in width. In Q2 of this year the model will become available to collectors for the extremely
low price of EUR 85. The model comes in two versions: a load floor and ramps with alumin-
ium grid sections or with hardwood floor sections. For those who like to see their models
complete with a tractor there is a choice of a Volvo FH16 4x2 or a Volvo 6x2 for € 90 and € 95
respectively. Both have been newly developed by MarGe Models. ■
